About the Provider

I’m Hannah Nagle, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing psychiatric care to adolescents and adults across Illinois.

Before psychiatry, I spent years as a Neuro ICU nurse and in other specialties. I have spent time working as a travel nurse on the West Coast, the Southwest, the South, and the Midwest. I also worked in peak COVID19 settings and witnessed how it affected and continues to affect mental health. My work bedside RN work experience taught me to think in systems, to look at the whole picture rather than a single symptom, and to take seriously how much the body and brain shape each other. I bring that same lens to mental health care. Sleep, hormones, nutrition, labs, life circumstances-these aren’t side notes to psychiatric treatment. Often, they’re the terrain from which the symptoms grow.

My approach is collaborative and unhurried. Appointments are long enough to actually talk, and I’m a pretty laid-back person to talk to - you don’t have to worry about cleaning up your story or worry about being judged here. People tell me things they’ve never said out loud, and the only thing that makes me feel is privileged to be entrusted with that information. Medication is one tool I use, and I use it carefully - but I’m just as interested in why something is happening as I am in what to prescribe for it. If a thorough workup, a lifestyle change, or coordination with your other providers will get you further than another prescription, that’s the direction we’ll go.

I built this practice to do psychiatry the way I believe it should be done: thorough, evidence-based, and centered on you as a whole person - not a diagnosis code.

I earned my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Methodist College in 2016.

I earned my Masters of Science in Nursing and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University in 2024.

I am board-certified as a PMHNP through ANCC.
